  • Abstract
In this work we study the formation and evolution of the space charge with time, a double layer (LDPE and FEP) with special attention to the interfaces between electrode and dielectric and between two dielectrics of different kinds. The technique of measuring the space charge method is the pulsed electro-acoustic. We have shown that the classic description of the charge interface by the effect Maxwell-Wagner-Sillar is not adequate to describe the phenomena of space charge even when two dielectrics non identical form the interface. The accumulation of charge at the interface is governed by charge injection at the electrodes when the material contains no internal charge and the generation processes by dissociation are nonexistent. The extent of the injection, transport and extraction charge are therefore essential to develop high-voltage devices containing thermoplastic material.
