Abstract :
In this paper, we first introduce the basic theory of wavelet transform and the process of wavelet threshold denoising. Then we establish double sphere model to demonstrate the denoising effect on 2D gravity data processing and discuss the choice of parameters for the wavelet filter, more specifically, the threshold, the wavelet basis and the scale. Finally, the wavelet threshold denoising method is applied to practical gravity data to obtain good effect. Both synthetic and field examples show that the proposed method is an efficient method for gravity data processing.
