Abstract

A fully functional intelligent trading advisor for Cable and Wireless HK Telecom (CWHKT-008) stock was developed. The advisory system analyzes the stock historical price and transaction volume using technical indicators and trading rules and advises the investor on making decision on the next-day stock trading (buy or sell). Along with analysis result, it gives a reference reliability index for the user to determine the maximum return while keeping the risk to the minimum. The system successfully deploys the theoretical idea from various technical indicators and trading rules into practical application with desirable empirical results. The flexibility and the capability of automatic parameter calibration allow the system to be used on other stock analysis with different sets of data
