Abstract :
Functional inequality constraints are omnipresent in optimization-based engineering design. They are generally handled through some kind of discretization scheme. In this paper, we show how computational efficiency can be improved by modifying the position of the mesh points at each iteration of the optimization process, based on information collected at previous iterations.
