"Industrial elements" is a unique symbol in industrial buildings and associated with industrial production. This thesis will take the expression of \´Industrial elements\´ in the transformation for old industrial buildings as the breakthrough point, represent the importance and the significance of \´industrial element\´ existing in rebuilding of the old industrial buildings. Based on the valuable materials, which were obtained via consulting the factory history for Changchun tractor plant and Changchun transmission shaft plant, mapping the site area, shooting and visiting on site etc., and sorted them in order, put forward the feasible proposal for rebuilding and the trend for reusing of the old buildings; introduce the specific expression way, the philosophy of design in details with regard to the \´Industrial elements\´ in the transformation for the idle buildings of Changchun tractor factor and Changchun transmission shaft plant, submit an rebuilding solution with local characteristic.
