Abstract :
Contour lines three-dimensional reconstruction is a key technology in treatment planning system (TPS), it helps the planner obtain locating information of pathological changes and normal organs inside patient´s body to design more accurate treatment plan. The Delaunay triangulation is one of the famous algorithms in computer graphics and has extensive application in digital terrain Model (DTM). A wide variety of algorithms have been proposed to construct triangulation. They fall into three broad categories: divide-and-conquer, incremental insertion and triangulation growth. After reviewed the basic algorithm of Delaunay triangulation, this paper extended the divide-and- conquer algorithm to three-dimensional, study its process based on the powerful class libraries-visualization toolkit (VTK), and realize the 3D reconstruction of contour lines of spine and tumors, whose data is stored in the form of unstructured points. Our results show that delaunay triangulation is reliable, efficient, and also makes no special restriction on the 3D distribution of the contour line points.
