Abstract :
Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) atomization of mineral oils is experimentally investigated. The results show a double peak droplet size distribution. The droplet diameter is decreasing and droplet velocity is increasing with the applied voltage and needle electrode diameter. Charge-to-mass ratio increases with increasing applied voltage but decreases with increasing needle electrode diameter. Tentative kinematic explanation is proposed
