Abstract :
With unprecedented breadth in the field of information technology, the world moved from the industrial age into the information age. The aspects of this transformation and the appearance of the transition concepts have become part of our daily lives. In the area of public sector: E-government, which is a prominent concept in popular and academic discussions on governance reforms. Recently, E-government has become a widespread focus of government efforts in many developed countries. Jordan is one of such developing country that has embarked on an E-government initiative. This paper describes and reviews in a constructive way the current status of E-government in Jordan, and shed light on the strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats of implementing E-government in Jordan.
