Abstract :
In this paper, we have shown that by increasing the input power in a Kerr-type nonlinear plasmonic directional coupler (PDC), the bar coupling ratio can be controlled. In 3dB performance of the directional coupler, it has been shown that by utilizing the cross phase modulation (XPM) nonlinear effect the required pump power has been reduced significantly compared to the signal power with self phase modulation (SPM) effect.
