Abstract :
It is necessary for the Power system to manage distribution services efficiently in order to maintain reliability. One of the distribution services is frequency regulation to be supplied by the electricity market participants. For regulating frequency, it is necessary to maintain the balance between demand and supply in real time. This paper develops a new control strategy for two connected systems with HVDC for participating in primary load-frequency control. The basic concept presented in this paper to improve frequency responses through two connected system with HVDC system. The proposed control technique boosts the operation of the governor controlling frequency in situations which it cannot compensate frequency drop because of large load power. The performance of control system has been validated by simulations of normal operation and overloads in MATLAB/SIMULINK.
