Abstract :
To design safety monitoring system in foundation piles, the number and location of multi-sensors should be optimized, so that comprehensive and reliable stress distribution can be observed. Minimal cost principle should be complied for number optimizing of multi-sensors system. Rationality principle of characteristic position and distribution curve of observed values should be complied for location optimizing of multi-sensors system. Based on the optimization criterions, the optimal number and location of stress multi-sensors in foundation pile is studied with genetic algorithm (GA). The system cost of a single pile reduces 30% by optimizing the number of the multi-sensors, and the observed stress distribution curve is more reasonable by optimizing location of sensors.
