Abstract
Summary form only given. In this talk, we review recent research aimed at developing new nonlinear optical materials based on the concept of forming a composite of two or more constituent materials. The goal of this research is to develop materials with superior optical properties for use in applications such as photonics, optical switching, and optical limiting.
