Abstract :
This paper presents an algorithm for simultaneous decoupling and stabilization of linear dynamic systems. In those cases where instability is associated with the unobservable part of the decoupled system one may have to use a dynamic compensator to preserve decoupling. In such cases the algorithm yields compensators of lowest possible order.
