Abstract :
Summary form only given. Transmyocardial revascularization (TMR) is a surgical procedure involving atraumatically drilling holes through the left ventricle of the heart to allow blood to flow directly into the oxygen starved heart muscle. This procedure may be helpful to patients with coronary artery disease who are not candidates for either bypass or angioplasty.
