Abstract
The magnetic flux guide is an essential component in the SQUID based eddy current systems because it allows the SQUID to work at its full capacity. The role of the flux guide is delivering the magnetic flux from a testing point on a specimen to the SQUID without much loss so that the sensitivity and the spatial resolution are further increased. To increase the spatial resolution further, the flux guide is shield. It is proved that the shielding is an effective means of increasing the resolution.
