Research on inheritance of vernacular architecture in Zhang guying Village

Vernacular architecture is a live culture of life exists, there has great significance to protect, plan well and show these rich cultural heritage. Based on full investigation of the zhang guying village and understanding the meaning of vernacular architecture, this paper has analyzed the state of conservation of vernacular architecture in zhang guying village, including state of conservation of ancient architectural complex and some pubic vernacular architecture, such as chamber, ancient temples, ancestral halls, stage, roadway and patio. At the same time, this paper has proposed that the inheritance of vernacular architecture in zhang guying village should take repair and reference as the main method of inheritance to recover outstanding vernacular architecture and extend the spirit of place, under the guidance of the principle of highlighting authenticity and maintaining continuity.
