Abstract
Guyed transmission tower is a common form used in transmission lines. The unreasonable design can cause the components of the guyed transmission tower instability, or even falling tower accidents in the subsequent operation and maintenance. It will lead to a lot of danger, long time outage and utilization rate of equipment not meeting the requirements to use free-standing tower replace guyed transmission tower, In the case of electricity demand exceeding supply, the outages reform of 500kV transmission lines is especially difficult. We find out the causes of the tower components instability and the tower pour accidents based on guyed transmission tower test, and puts forward corresponding solutions.
