Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Digital TV broadcast systems allow delivery of data and application programs to receivers, thus enabling interactive and data broadcast services. Such services must be delivered to consumers irrespective of the hardware and software platform of the receiver in the consumer´s home. We discuss a software architecture for a DTV receiver that allows platform-independent content to be broadcast for service provision.
