Abstract :
The work presented in this paper describes the framework of the GESTICA project (telecommunication services management implemented on CORBA). This framework is a proposal to integrate a session-based service management layer on CORBA for the efficient management of QoS of virtual private networks over IP. It is at the same time an attempt to show how a TMN-inherited layered management architecture can be built on a CORBA environment, thus combining the power of TMN-based components and design concepts with the CORBA distribution framework
