Abstract
The application of Hilbert-Huang Transform method for modal parameters identification to hydraulic structure is investigated in this paper, according to measurement data of the response time histories under discharge excitation. To avoid mode mixing, the signal is band-pass filter firstly. Then the natural frequencies and modal damping ratios of the arch dam are identified using HHT method in combination with measurement. The results are demonstrated that HHT is effective to extract a more intensive two-order of the arch dam for hydraulic structures.
