Abstract
An algorithm is proposed for the recognition of polyhedral objects. It is effective for objects that are rotated, scaled or overlapping. It uses only one orthographic projection. The algorithm is not based on the numerical solution of nonlinear equations and does not require any a priori knowledge. It is based on simple algebraic equations, which are easy to solve and do not require time-consuming numerical procedures
