  • Abstract
A new on-line dead time assignment technique for single-phase PWM inverters is presented. Switching functions without dead time degradation are determined with the aid of sensing load current directions. The on-line assignment is achieved by employing two dummy modulation signals with computed offset voltages. The proposed method can be applied to conventional sine-triangular PWM (SPWM) and programmed PWM techniques as well
