  • Abstract
Approaches to implementing speed sensorless control reported in the past concentrated on the estimation of rotor speed, since the estimated speed is essentially used for existing drive control techniques such as field-oriented techniques and also for speed closed-loop controllers. In contrast, in this paper, an alternative approach to sensorless control without speed estimation is presented. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme
