Abstract :
Cracking simulated experiment on gross compositions of crude oil was carried out. The geochemical analysis results show that gross compositions of crude oil have a similar variation feature with the increasing thermal stress, high carbon number hydrocarbons cracked to form low carbon number hydrocarbons, high temperature cracking products are composed of C1-5 hydrocarbon gas, benzene and its homologues. However, there is subtle difference reflected by the different temperature of C1-5 hydrocarbon gas generation. For saturated hydrocarbons, C1-5 hydrocarbon gas can be detected at 550°C, but for the aromatic hydrocarbons, non-hydrocarbon and pyrobitumen, C1-5 hydrocarbon gas can be determined at 400°C.
