Abstract :
Designated verifier signature, was proposed by Jakobsson, Sako and Impagliazzo, is an important cryptographic primitive which can be used to convince a single third party, i.e. the designated verifier, and only the designated verifier who can be convinced to the fact that the designated verifier can always construct a signature intended for himself that is indistinguishable from an original signature. Since the notion of designated verifier signature was introduced, a lot of designated verifier signature schemes were proposed in the literature. In this paper, we propose the first designated verifier signature scheme from circulant matrices. We show that the proposed scheme is secure under computational Diffie-Hellman problem over group of circulant matrices.
