Abstract :
Size and proportion of windows are important issues that architects and designers need to consider in office buildings design. There are many factors affecting these two elements of office windows including energy consumption, aesthetic consideration, view, lighting and ventilation etc. And users´ subjective satisfaction on windows is another item should be respected but not enough attention is paid by designers nowadays. This study tries to find out the optimal size and proportion of office windows based on the subjective elevation of office employees in Guangzhou, a major city in southern China.
