Abstract :
A real time algorithm is developed for the detection of ventricular fibrillation (VF) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) above 170 /min. This device is used in a semi-automatic monitor-defibrillator. In this study we present a simple and reliable method to detect VF/VT using one morphologic and two rhythmic informations of the ECG which are transformed into probability units. Using the AHA and MIT databases for the test of the reliability of our algorithm, all episodes of VF/VT were detected.
