Abstract :
In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of nonlinear continuous dynamic systems is proposed. The scheme employs a fuzzy controller and a compensation controller. The parameters of the fuzzy controller are online adjusted according to an adaptive law while the identification of the controlled plant is unnecessary. It is proved that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach. Finally, we apply this controller to control a chaotic system. The simulation results show that our scheme is much superior to the scheme of Wang (1993)
