  • Abstract
    This paper presents asynchronous busy-tone multiple access protocol for ad hoc wireless networks. Implementation simplicity is achieved using only one busy tone. Hidden nodes are warned by early-on busy tone, which reduces the number of RTS collisions. DATA transmit is guaranteed collision free. The number of concurrent transmits are maximized. The optional DATA acknowledgement mechanism using BT offers substantial advantages over other MAC protocols for error-prone wireless networks in real world
