Abstract :
Biological cell behaviors under electrical fields have been researched for several decades. At early time, biological cells are researched as special dielectric under pulsed electrical fields. Some models are prompted to explain these biological cell behaviors. With the developments of modern microscopy technology and compact pulsed power technology, researches on the interactions between biological cells and intense pulsed electrical fields have been more thoroughly conducted. Some new phenomena have been observed and some new applications, such as food processing, biological decontamination, tumor electrocution, drug or gene delivery, et. al., are prompted. An experimental system scheme in our group is introduced and review of these researches is presented in this report.
