Abstract :
The structure of FORS, a software tool that deals primarily with the area of collaboration and secondarily with human computer interfaces and record keeping, is described. It also deals with tool acquisition. FORS implements the network model of collaboration and permits dynamic reconfiguration of tools and aspects. A detailed description of its four modules-an aspect library, a tool library, a design space, and remote effects-is given. The implementation of the system in the mechanical design of a window regulator is examined
