  • Abstract
    The concept of a New Better than Used (NBU) one-dimensional distribution is generalized to multidimensional distributions. We call multi-dimensional distributions with this new property SNBU and show that a product of NBU distributions is SNBU. Several known results from reliability theory and some new results in percolation theory follow as special cases. This is joint work with J. van den Berg.
