Abstract
This paper identifies shader program performance as a performance bottleneck in mobile 3D graphics. Math function plays an important role in shader program performance. We suggest an alternative approach to improve the performance which does not increase the power consumption or transistor count. Shader performance will be key to future 3D graphics applications.
