Abstract
This paper presents a tool for trading in power exchanges (PXs) under the new electricity trading arrangement (NETA) in England and Wales. Trading in the short-term PXs has developed considerably since the introduction of NETA. The PXs offer significant opportunities for the short-term energy trading and arbitrage between differing trading periods. However it is not straightforward to identify such opportunities due to a number of potential trades available in the PX markets. It is therefore, in this paper, proposed to develop a tool to assist traders in this activity. Formulation of the model and the case study are presented.
