Abstract :
We use the spline function method to construct the tooth profile of the double circular arc gear. And we built a solid model of gear. Then we analyze its stress through finite element static analysis, modal analysis and transient analysis; calculate the gear´s vibration characteristic, the displacement and strain under a transient stress. In static analysis, we know the largest stress is at the waist of the tooth. In modal analysis, we analyze the inhere vibrated frequency-ratio of the gear. So that we can avoid resonance ensure that the structure won´t be destroyed when enduring impulsion load. The transient analysis shows that the stress, displacement and acceleration reach the maximum only at an instantaneous moment.
