  • Abstract
This work presents an algorithm for the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) guidance toward an acoustic signal source. A series of time-of-flight measurements for acoustic sound waves emitted by the source is used in order to determine a desired motion direction. Automatic guidance is provided utilizing an extremum search controller. Proposed algorithms were modeled and tested using numerical experiments.
