Abstract
We have developed a workstation for the cardiac catheterization laboratory. This system features: (1) an easy to learn and operate user-interface completely customized for the cathlab procedures, (2) local area network compatibility, (3) built-in database capabilities for patient data management, (4) real-time acquisition, display, and processing of physiological signals and (5) simultaneous displays of live-video images from an X-ray machine. The programs has been written in a very modular manner and can be easily upgraded or extended.
