Abstract :
In this work we study the performance of a set of iterative algorithms when applied to the interpolation of ECG data. The algorithms are similar to the discrete Papoulis-Gerchberg algorithm and can be used to recover missing samples in finite-length records of band-limited data. They seem to perform satisfactorily well when used to interpolate ECG data, which normally has a relatively low bandwidth. We believe that they are useful tools for the reconstruction of partially known ECG segments, that is, segments in which a number of randomly distributed samples are unknown.
