Abstract :
We show the dynamical four-wave mixing in a nonlocal medium is described by the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. Two regimes are considered for this FWM: (i) the self-oscillations and (ii) stationary localized states in the form of self-function for the intensity pattern in the medium volume. The applications of such FWM in all-optical switching and optical phase conjugation are examined.
