Abstract
A family of isolated single-stage ZVS-PWM active-clamping converters with high power factor are proposed. These new converters can achieve high power factor, low current harmonic distortion, tight output voltage regulation, and high efficiency. In the converters, the switches are operated with zero voltage switching (ZVS) and active clamping. They may become very attractive in low or medium power applications. In this paper, derivation of the single-stage converters is presented, and a specific example is designed and implemented to verify the feasibility of the converters
