Abstract :
With an increasing demand for IP-based services, context-aware systems have attracted much attention. One such is location based services. This paper introduces a new mechanism based on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) by which effective contexts are transferred to the service providers. In this novel approach, Access Network Discovery and Selection Function (ANDSF) act as location enabler, therefore the issue of transmitting the context information to different service providers will be addressed in 3GPP.
