Abstract :
Deals with two particular treatments on cartographic maps: road and texture extraction. For the road extraction process, a method using a line following algorithm connected with a validation test based on a road modelisation is presented. The texture characterization lies on the color and density criterions used, in a second stage, for the extraction of both textured areas and their accidents
