Abstract :
Recent papers [1]-[3] have shown that adaptive pole placement algorithms are globally stable provided a persistantly exciting reference is applied. These results were for the ideal noise free case. This report shows that this type of scheme has a certain degree of robustness. In particular the analysis in [1] and [2] will still be valid if noise of "small" magnitude is present.
