Abstract :
The emphasis was to develop an architecture that can support a distributed implementation while maintaining a bound on the nontransparent overhead. The solution partitions the software functions in correspondence with the hardware modules within a Processing Element. Thus the use of rotating memory sections permits concurrent inputting of new data, processing of current data, and outputting of previous data. A specific example illustrates the design features.
