Abstract :
The life distribution of some type of ships is Wei bull distribution. In a ship life test, censored at fixed time totally 15 times, the zero-failure data are got, used to estimate the ships life reliability. The crucial point is the first step-how to estimate the failure probability. By the hierarchical Bayesian analysis, the probability is estimated. The Gamma distribution is used to be the prior distribution of failure probability. Then, the curve of Wei bull is stimulated by the least square method. The method is easy to compute and very convenient for engineering application. The result shows estimation of is robust.
