            Abstract :
An object-oriented switching software architecture (OSA) consisting of layered objects is proposed as a next-generation switching software architecture. These layers are the user service, call, port, and channel. The proposed OSA has an affinity with the distributed control architecture, and B-ISDN (broadband integrated services digital network) and is expected to accumulate and inherit the service software on the user service layer
