Abstract :
In this paper, the mixed generalized Laguerre-Legendre spectral method is proposed for non-isotropic heat transfer in an infinite strip. A mixed Laguerre-Legendre spectral scheme is constructed. Numerical results show the efficiency of this approach. Some results on the mixed Laguerre-Legendre approximation and techniques used in this paper are also applicable to other problems in an infinite strip. We also develop a lifting technique, with which we could handle inhomogeneous boundary conditions easily.
