Abstract
In this paper, a unique particle filter is proposed based on a population-based probabilistic tabu search algorithm. The memory oriented feature of the tabu search algorithm improves both accuracy and performance of the proposed Alter. Quantitative results indicate that the proposed tabu search particle Alter outperforms the generic particle Alter in real-time human tracking applications.
