Abstract
Artificial intelligence techniques display great proficiency in the navigation of modern aircraft, especially military ones that require quick response to danger. This paper present a Pilot-Assistant Navigation Expert System (PANES) capable of navigation calculation, situation estimation, danger prediction and estimation, synthesis decision-making recommendation, manoeuvre evaluation and learning. Some principles, methods, and algorithms concerning the system was discussed in this paper. A computer-based system has been established and some results were presented in this paper to show the effectiveness
