Abstract :
The efficiency loss of the uniform altruism traffic assignment under road pricing is investigated. In this paper, we assume the user´s perceived cost is a sum of selfish component, altruistic component and road pricing. The upper bounds of efficiency losses are analytically derived by variational inequality method. It is shown that the upper bound of efficiency loss depends on the class of link travel cost functions, the altruism coefficient and toll charge. Finally, we study an example when the link travel cost function is polynomial function.
